This is Wassail Ale from the English Heritage Shop.
This is Wassail Ale from the English Heritage Shop.   It's a full bodied, fruity ale. Seasoned with spices and honey, it was served from huge silver or pewter bowls.  The Wassail bowl was passed round with the greeting 'Wassail".  Wassail means "be well" - it's an Old English term.  It's £2.00 a bottle, from English Heritage  (See all their ciders and beers here.)
